Many people want to have all the great features of the Little Giant Ladder System, but don't feel that they need the heavier, commercial grade models for household use.

The Little Giant Ladder System Type 1 250 # Rated ladders share the same great design as The Original Little Giant Ladder System, only made from slightly lighter aircraft grade aluminum, lowering their ANSI rating to "Type I, Heavy Duty, Industrial Use (250 pound load capacity)." This is still a higher standard than the lower 200 lb and 225lb "household use" rating that many ladders have, and is a good all around ladder for normal household or lighter commercial use. The Type 1 has three hinge plates compared to the Type 1A's four. All models include a work platform.

They are available in Model 17 and 22, and as of 9/01/06 now also carry the lifetime warranty.

The Model 13 Type 1, the smallest ladder in the above picture, has been discontinued. The Model 13 is still available in Type 1A and Type 1AA Ladder Systems.

Note the pictures to the right: The roof line on this home is a full ten feet from the ground, yet any of the Model 22 Little Giant Ladder Systems in the A-Frame position will easily allow you to attend to the spring and fall chore of cleaning the rain gutters, without having to lean a ladder against them.

Got steps? No problem! Just adjust your Little Giant to the stairway position and keep right on working!

Properly set up in the fully extended position, the Model 22 will extend past a 17 foot peak, as shown in the last picture.
