Want to See How "Check Out" Works? |

If you are unfamiliar with purchasing a product on the internet, and would like to see the process, this page is for you. The "Add to Cart" button you see on the bottom of this page is programmed to have a $1.00 charge. By clicking on it, you will go to your "Shopping Cart" where you will see a $1.00 charge, for the Item "Testing." Look at the url in the browser. Note that it starts with http.// Click on the "View Cart" or "Check Out" link at the bottom of this page, and you will find yourself at PayPal, and the url now starts with https//. The "s" means you are now at a secure site, where any information you enter is protected by PayPal's internet security system. Please Note: If the "Shopping Cart" window fails to open after clicking on "Add to Cart," just hold down the "Control" key in the lower left corner of your keyboard when clicking on "Add to Cart." This action will now allow your "click" to bypass any Pop-up Blocker that is preventing the window from opening. If you are using the new Internet Explorer 7 browser, click on your Tools help button to set your pop-up stopper. If you do not have a PayPal account, click on that button, and you will be directed to a page to fill in your shipping and credit card information. You can continue to fill in the blanks at this point without being charged the $1.00. Continue the process until you finally get to the "Pay" button. DON'T CLICK ON THAT BUTTON or you will be charged the $1.00 ! However, if you wish to, you certainly may, and continue the "learning process." You will then get a PayPal receipt instantly by email for your $1.00 charge, and I will receive a $1.00 payment for "Testing," automatically deposited into my PayPal acccount. After making payment, you will be right back to a new page at The Little Ladder Store, where I will ask for some additional information about your "purchase." If you do not have a PayPal account, you may also actually sign up at this time for PayPal during this "testing". There is no PayPal charge to you as a "buyer," only to "sellers" receiving your payment. PayPal has over 100 million on-line customers, and is relatively simple to use. When signing up with PayPal, I would suggest that you enter your name and address exactly the same way that you have it on whatever credit card you intend to register with PayPal. The best way to make sure you do this is to take your credit card statement and enter the information from your address on the statement. PayPal also gives you the ability to do electronic banking, where your bank account is debited for your purchase instead of a credit card. This is a "slow" way of paying, however, taking up to three days for funds to clear. Once you have a PayPal account, do not ever, ever "reply" to any email or click on any links that you may receive that "looks like" a PayPal email, as it may be fake, sent by someone intent on "hijacking" your account. PayPal will never ask for financial information in an email. Log on instead yourself to your PayPal account at www.paypal.com to make any changes. Do not ever enter any financial information unless the link in your url starts with https:// If it doesn't have the "s" it isn't secure! This advice is good to follow with any financial business you do on the internet.  Use this button to test the buying process. You will be charged $1.00 if you complete the PayPal process by clicking on the "Pay" button when prompted. Until that point, you will not be charged. Please Note: The PayPal site does not allow the use of the "Back Button" on your browser. Instead, each PayPal page has clickable links to proceed or go back. To return to this page, close out the PayPal page by clicking on the "X" in the upper right of your browser.
